Ben Garcia

Ben Garcia is the Executive Director at the American LGBTQ+ Museum. Prior museum experience includes two years as Deputy Executive Director and Chief Learning Officer at the Ohio History Connection, six years in the education department at the J. Paul Getty Museum, three years as Associate Director of Education at the Skirball Cultural Center, three years as Head of Interpretation at the Phoebe A. Hearst Museum of Anthropology at UC Berkeley, and five years as Deputy Director of the San Diego Museum of Man. He presents internationally and publishes on the museum’s role in learning, public value, social change, and decolonization.
